Currently, the Federal Labor Standards Act (FLSA) has a loophole that allows companies to get out of the time-and-half overtime pay; it's called the "Professional Exemption" and in being vague, allows business to cheat workers by calling anyone they can a "professional" due to their work being intellectual in nature.
